Leadership we need to Represent District 31

I am here to fight for a better quality of life in Indiana, one with affordable and accessible healthcare, housing, child care and cost of living.  An Indiana with fully funded public schools and teachers that are supported and given every resource needed.  An Indiana with smart infrastructure and economic development plans.  And an Indiana where our neighbors and children are safe.

Catherine Torzewski is a lifelong Hoosier who was raised on the East side of Indianapolis. Her mother was a librarian, and her father was a union labor sheet metal worker. Community was at the center of her upbringing, and she was taught to serve that community starting at an early age.

Catherine earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Indianapolis. That achievement set her up for success. She now possesses extensive experience in business management, having managed a law firm for several years as well as leading her own investment property business, both in her hometown of Indianapolis. In 2014, she became a licensed Realtor and is one of the most successful Realtors within her brokerage. She prides herself on her selfless service to her clients and her extensive knowledge of real estate in central Indiana. Empowered with the real estate proficiency gained in these positions of leadership, Catherine has served on multiple committees for the MIBOR REALTOR Association (MIBOR), as well as the MIBOR Real Estate Academy of Leadership.

Because of her commitment to serve her community, Catherine, a fierce advocate for gun sense laws, joined Moms Demand Action as a volunteer in 2022. Through her volunteerism, Catherine learned that you have to be at the table to effect change. With that goal in mind, she was accepted into and completed the Demand A Seat Program hosted by Everytown in 2023. She also stepped up to become a Marion County Precinct Committeeperson in 2023 and has taken the lead on several other campaigns, including serving as campaign manager for Representative Victoria Garcia Wilburn’s reelection campaign in 2024, and campaign manager for Howard Stevenson for Fishers City Council At Large in 2023. Catherine is also a proud graduate of Hoosier Women Forward (Class 7) and the Indiana Democratic Party’s Emerging Leaders (2022-2023).

Catherine sits on various boards and committees including The Growth Project, Development Committee for Hoosier Women Forward and the Lawrence Township School Foundation Board.

When she’s not serving her clients, fighting for change or running a campaign, Catherine spends time with her family that she adores – her husband and two young sons. Keeping true to her community commitment, she also has an amazing village of close friends and family always by her side.
